Analysis of a Collection

The Task:

Analyze a fashion collection of your choice.

The Process:

I first conducted some research to decide which show I wanted to analyze. I am very inspired by 90s runway so that felt like the way to go. I picked a 1995 Fall Winter show by Jean Paul Gaultier where we played on themes of androgyny and futurism in a way that was ahead of its time. I went through each look and pulled looks that are considered outrageous and looks that had classic silhouettes. Then I began to break down the themes of the show by talking about specific runway pieces and how those looks were showcased.

The Outcome:

Looking back on this essay I am still proud of myself for how concise and comprehensive it is. I think I gave a great and in-depth analysis of this fashion show and enjoyed rereading it!
